Bluesified

Fresh off an eight-day swing through Germany, this Milwaukee-based quintet made its debut performance at St. Paul’s historic Blues Saloon in Minnesota on June 1, 2018.

The club wasn’t the Blues Saloon of old. And the band seemed a bit off – particularly compared to the knockout performance they gave as the opening act of the 2017 Big Bull Falls Blues Festival in Wausau, Wis.

But as is the case with any good band, hang around long enough and things will improve. By the third set, the band had shifted into road gear and made the show worth it.

Vocalist Jeff Taylor, guitarist Jeff Schroedl, bassist Mark Solveson, keyboardist Raymond Tevich and drummer Alan Arber made it apparent why the band’s fourth album Charmed and Dangerous was nominated for the Blue’s Foundation’s 2018 award for best emerging artist album.
